Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato & Sage Pasta

Nothing screams autumn quite like a bowl of pasta flavoured with squash. Pumpkin can easily be substituted for the butternut squash as well as the sweet potato. However I love the flavour and texture that sweet potato adds to the dish so remove at your own discretion!

Potato Nachos

healthy vegan potato nachos

Last week was the Superbowl and to get into the “let’s waste a couple of hours watching a game, to which I will have no idea what is really going on half the time” mode, I made Superbowl food to keep me entertained. My favourite snack was these potato nachos. Made only from whole foods and vegan. Yum!

Vegan Christmas Dinner Ideas (Mains)

Social gathering are not always easy when you’re vegan (or you follow a particular diet) but they can still be enjoyable and the food can taste amazing. Planning in advance is always a good idea; if no option will be available, best thing is to bring some food that you can enjoy and share with others. Hopefully these recipe ideas will make it a little easier for anyone wanting to survive the holidays with good plant-based food.

In this post, I’m sharing  various main meals. Check out these posts for :

Favourite Vegan Beauty Products

vegan_cruelty-free_beauty_product

Why should we be using another beings simply to test if the same effect will happen on a human? If we should to use beauty products and the goal is only aesthetic, why the need to make others suffer? I am aware that on some occasion it might seem like the only option (e.i. benzoyl peroxide for acne or eye drops for dried eyes) however when it comes to beauty products, no animals should have to suffer. Here are my favourite cruelty-free beauty products and brands.

Lentil Stuffed ‘Pumpkin’ Peppers

vegan_stuffed_pepper

Isn’t this so cute? I’m going to be honest here, Halloween is not my favourite holiday but when I saw these stuffed peppers on Facebook, I had to try them myself. The stuffing wasn’t vegan unfortunately, so I whipped up a healthy plant-based stuffing using lentils and veggies.

I rarely do fancy stuff but when thinking about that to do with the butternut squash I bought, only one thing came to mind: a tart. Having never done a tart or cooked with butternut squash, I thought it would be interesting to try and see what happens. And if I can say so myself, it turned out great and super tasty!
